How Mosey verifies listings

Every event on Mosey traces back to an official source. This page describes the pipeline so you know exactly what a listing means.

Official sources only

Recurring listings come from structured calendars published by the organizers themselves — libraries, parks departments, museums, venues and city governments. One-off events are added only after the date, time and venue are confirmed on the organizer's own page. Aggregator posts, social-media mentions and search snippets are never treated as facts.

Kept current

• Source calendars are re-ingested on a regular schedule, metro by metro.
• Ended events are removed daily; their pages are retired rather than left to go stale.
• Every event page links to the organizer's page it was verified against.

When sources break

If an organizer's calendar stops responding or changes format, the affected listings fall back to the last verified data and the source is flagged for repair — broken sources are fixed or retired, not silently re-guessed.

Limits

Organizers reschedule and cancel. A listing means the event was verified on an official page at ingestion time, not a guarantee it will run — the organizer link on each page is the final word.
